Our Märzen is back! Märzen lagers were originally brewed by Medieval German brewers in the month of March (Märzen) and aged during the hot months of spring and summer when airborne bacteria frequently interfered with fermentation of the beer. Brewers would then tap them in September or October, providing a rounder, smoother brew. These days, this beer is brewed throughout the year but is historically linked with Oktoberfest and often released in the fall. Our Märzen, released today and available in our Taproom, is a rich amber brew full of fall harvest notes. Look for it on tap and in cans at your favorite beer purveyor!
