Pilsner 4.4% ABV
Our Pilsner is bright yellow in color with notes of chamomile, geranium, thyme, bread dough, and honey. Gently bitter with a medium body.
EAST BAY NIGHTS
Black Lager 4.7% ABV
2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) (R) Silver Medal winning beer in the German Dark Lager category. This is our tribute to a classic German Schwarzbier. Don’t let the color of this beer fool you, it’s light on the palate and full of flavor. Notes of toast, brown sugar, chocolate, pine, rose, and fudge.

West Coast IPA 6.2% ABV
Whether you’re looking for some liquid courage or toasting a personal success, this West Coast IPA is here for you. Notes of pine, rose, spruce, black currant, red apple, peach, mango, and water cracker. With Andrew’s spirit in mind, whatever your own “Dragon” is, just go out there and slay!

Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV
Our Hazy IPA is generously hopped with Comet, Citra, Chinook, and Talus hops giving it rich aromas of breakfast cereal, white bread, raspberry, orange, honeydew, red apple, and pineapple.

Hazy IPA 7% ABV
Daisy came into Chelsea’s life unexpectedly in 2020 and has been her loyal shadow ever since. Now 12, this blue nose pitty has traded her younger days of running, playing, and swimming for sunny naps and her favorite spot on the couch. She communicates through piglet-like grunts, legendary pit bull side-eye, and a puppy-dog pout that’s impossible to resist. More than anything, Daisy loves her people deeply—and we’re honored to celebrate a dog so special to someone so special to the OUB family.

FRESH HOP
Pale Ale 5.5% ABV
Fresh hops are exactly what they sound like: hops picked straight from the bine and rushed into the brewery without ever being dried or processed. Still holding most of their natural moisture, they bring a uniquely bright, green, herbal character that can only be captured during a few short weeks each harvest season.
Big shout out to our neighbors at Original Pattern for helping us get our hands on fresh Citra this year. The moment these hops landed at the brewery, we got to work, brewing this 100% Citra Pale Ale immediately to capture them at their freshest.

MEET ME AT SWEET'S
Amber Lager 5.4% ABV
In 1924, Sweet’s Ballroom opened its doors in Oakland and quickly became one of the country’s most celebrated dance halls. Known as the “East Bay’s Home of the Big Bands,” its dance floor welcomed legends including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and a young Frank Sinatra making his Bay Area debut. At its height, thousands packed Sweet’s for a night of music and dancing. Meet Me At Sweet’s Amber Lager raises a glass to those unforgettable Oakland nights and a city that’s always known how to find its rhythm.

Red Ale 5.5% ABV
In the heart of the Oakland hills stand the quiet giants that inspired this beer. While the Bay Area is often associated with bustling neighborhoods, historic industry, and vibrant cultural movements, Oakland’s redwood forests tell another story—one of endurance, renewal, and connection to the land.
The most famous of these groves can be found at Aurelia Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, where second-growth redwoods rise as living reminders of the ancient forests that once covered the East Bay. Centuries before colonization, the Ohlone people lived among these trees, shaping their lives in harmony with the land. Today, one last sentinel from those original old-growth forests—the aptly named Old Survivor—still stands tall and serves as a bridge between Oakland’s deep past and its living present.

Our Story
Founded in 2009 as Linden Street Brewery, we became the first community-based production brewery in Oakland since Golden West Brewery closed in the 1950s.

In 2017, following the sale of our building on Linden Street to a new developer, we moved our operations to the waterfront Jack London District and rebranded as Oakland United Beerworks.
