Introducing the Self-Distribution Alliance (SDA) & Brewer Games

We’re excited to team up with some of the growing number of excellent and independently distributed craft beverage makers in the Bay Area to form the Self-Distribution Alliance. Though still in it’s early stages, the SDA has already proven to be valuable to both the breweries who are members and to the bars and restaurants we do business with. Over the past few months, the SDA has organized and hosted a number of tap takeovers at Bay Area watering holes which featured up to ten participating breweries’ beers. This is one of the many ways we hope to collaborate with each other and the with community we’re a part of in the future.
And so, as part of our collaborative effort, we’d like to invite you to come participate in the first ever SDA Brewer Games happening during SF Beer Week 2018.
What, you may ask, are the Brewer Games?
Beginning on Feb. 8 with a kickoff party at Ale Industries, and over the course of Beer Week, SDA has organized a series of beer-themed competitions at beer-serving establishments in the Bay. Participants can expect to play games like Dust-Cap Frisbee Golf, Knock-Out Coupler Construction, Sack ‘n’ Stack, and the EinSteiner Math Round. Conquer all the games, come to the final showdown, and you could go home with a one-of-kind trophy, lovingly hand-crafted by a brewer!
Participating Breweries: Ale Industries, Alemeda Island Brewing Co., Altamont Beer Works, Crooked City Cider, Federation Brewing, Ghost Town Brewing, Gilman Brewing, Oakland United Beerworks, Old Kan, & Shadow Puppet Brewing, with more to come!

2/14/18: Tap Takeover & Brewer Games at Cato’s Ale House (Oakland), 5pm-10pm
2/14/18: Tap Takeover & Trivia at Bobby G’s Pizzeria (Berkeley), 6pm-10pm
2/15/18: Tap Takeover at Tap 25 (Livermore), 5pm-10pm
2/15/18: Tap Takeover & Brewer Games at Hopwater Distribution (San Francisco), 5pm-10pm
2/16/18: Tap Takeover & Brewer Games at Freehouse (Berkeley), 5pm-10pm
2/17/18: Tap Takeover & Final Brewer Game Showdown at Classic Cars West (Oakland), 5pm-10pm
