OUR CORE BEERS
NEW OAKLAND GLOW
Pilsner 4.8% ABV
Our core line-up Pilsner is a classic and comforting German-style beer. Utilizing premium ingredients to create a crisp, biscuity light beer with a subtle hopped finish.
EAST BAY NIGHTS
Black Lager 5.2% ABV
2022 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) (R) Silver Medal winning beer in the German Dark Lager category. This is our tribute to a classic German Schwarzbier. Don’t let the color of this beer fool you, it’s light on the palate and full of flavor. Notes of coffee and roast with enough German noble hops to round out the malt profile.
DRINK BEER, SLAY DRAGON
West Coast IPA 6.5% ABV
Whether you’re looking for some liquid courage or toasting a personal success, this West Coast IPA is here for you. It’s citrus-y, fruit-y, and pine-y with subtle sweetness and perfect bitterness. With Andrew’s spirit in mind, whatever your own “Dragon” is, just go out there and slay!
Centennial, Mosaic, and Columbus hops.
BAY SHORE FOG
Hazy IPA 6.5% ABV
Our core Hazy IPA is generously hopped with Comet, Citra, Chinook, and Talus giving it rich aromas of lychee and other tropical fruits in addition to a balanced dose of grapefruit and citrus peel.
New Releases
F**N IPA
West Coast Double IPA 8% ABV
First brewed in 2019, this bold and unapologetic IPA was originally crafted as a rotating hop series called Fn(IPA), highlighting unique hops in each batch. But its nickname, “F**N IPA,” quickly took on a life of its own, so we leaned in and made it official. This IPA is everything you want in a Double IPA and, yes, it’s F**N good!
Vista, Galaxy, Citra hops.
LUCKY DOG (FT. MILES)
Hazy IPA 7% ABV
At 15½, Miles is a living legend — a scruffy rescue with the heart of a lion and the softness of a cloud. Found weak on a Central Valley farm, he fought his way back with quiet grit and endless love, and he’s been charming everyone he meets ever since.
Miles has a tender heart and a sharp emotional IQ, plus the precision of a seasoned fly hunter (no fly stands a chance). A tennis-ball devotee and firm believer that anything edible — including medicine — is a treat, he brings warmth wherever he goes.
We’re honored to share Miles’ story on this Lucky Dog label. This opportunity was donated to the Sage Compassion for Animals fundraising auction to support their lifesaving work for pets and their people.
HBC630, Elani, Citra, El Dorado hops.
ZAPATOS AFTER DARK
Amber Lager 5.4% ABV
Zapatos After Dark pays tribute to the late-night rhythms that pulse through Oakland — from jazz and funk to hip-hop and soul. Born from the same energy that inspired our Zapatos de Baile Mexican-style Lager, this Amber Lager celebrates those who keep the party alive after hours — with a glass raised, a beat in their heart, and shoes made for dancing long into the night.
MIGRATION
West Coast IPA 6.5% ABV
Every spring and fall, migratory birds travel the Pacific Flyway, a major North-South migratory route that stretches between Alaska and Patagonia. Lake Merritt, established in 1870 as the nation’s first government-owned wildlife refuge, serves as an important rest stop for these waterfowl during their migrations. The lake is home to over 100 different types of birds throughout the year, making Oakland a haven for birds and bird watchers alike.
Rakau, El Dorado, Idaho 7 hops.
ABOUT OAKLAND UNITED BEERWORKS
Our Story
Founded in 2009 as Linden Street Brewery, we became the first community-based production brewery in Oakland since Golden West Brewery closed in the 1950s.
our team
Oakland is and always has been a beer town; a place where hard-working people would gather together to enjoy locally brewed, fresh beer.
OUB brewery
In 2017, following the sale of our building on Linden Street to a new developer, we moved our operations to the waterfront Jack London District and rebranded as Oakland United Beerworks.
