Join Oakland United Beerworks for our First Annual Chili Cook Off! On Easter Sunday (Apr 4, 1-6PM), we’re hosting a head-to-head chili showdown for a great cause. We’ll have a handful of teams bringing their best chili recipes and representing their favorite local charities. For $30 on Eventbrite, you’ll get 2 drink tickets, an OUB pub glass and all the chili you can eat. Vote for your favorite chili and the team with the most votes wins. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will go to the winning team’s nonprofit, matched by an equal contribution from OUB. Local charities represented at the chili cook off are: Oakland Animal Services, Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano, Oakland Firefighters Random Acts, Oakland Elizabeth House, and Center for Independent Living. Come on down, fill your bellies and give one of our teams a year’s worth of bragging rights, while supporting a worthy local nonprofit in the process!
