Meet Charlene Wang for Oakland City Council
March 13 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Charlene is running for District 2 City Council in the April 15 special election. Stop by to meet Charlene and enjoy a great evening of conversations with community members.
A former Biden-Harris official, Charlene has launched a $4 billion infrastructure program that’s already bringing jobs to Oakland. Her public service is motivated by the safety and stability that Oakland’s affordable housing provided for her and her grandparents. A graduate from Columbia University and Harvard her career has been about reforming government systems to prevent people from falling through the cracks, leading Massachusetts’ homeless response system to house people faster, launching free universal Pre-K in New York City, and helping redesign Boston city government to improve services while reducing costs.
Now, she’s running for Oakland City Council to bring bold, effective leadership to our city—she’ll prioritize public safety, moving homeless people from encampments to shelters, and clearing red tape that ties up affordable housing and small businesses.
