This year’s tribute to our friend and colleague, Andrew Ritter, is a sessionable Hazy Pale Ale. It is high in drinkability, low in alcohol and well balanced but still packs a hazy punch. A heavy hint of grapefruit and citrus zest on the front palate transitions into a particularly dank pine resin finish. Proceeds from the sale of this beer will support the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI). ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. At ALS TDI, drug development experts and people with ALS focus on finding effective treatments to slow and stop this disease.
Final note about this offering: the colors used in the label reflect Andrew’s passion for the Oakland A’s. Here’s to you, Andrew! We will “Drink beer, slay dragon”!
