We have all seen the devastation wreaked by the Lahaina wildfires: the tragic loss of life, destruction of homes and property, lack of food, water, shelter and power for survivors. In light of restrictions for travel to Maui, many of us are seeking ways to help from afar.

OUB is hosting a fundraiser on Sunday, Aug 20, 11AM-4PM at the taproom to benefit Maui fire victims. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of food and beer served will be donated to Maui Food Bank, including from the sale of:

  • Hawaiian-style specialties, including Spam musubis, plate lunches, and oxtail soup.
  • Tropical State of Mind Juicy IPA and Paradise Found Sour Ale, which will be sold at $5/pour, starting today and through the weekend.
  • A mixed 4-pack of these beers, discounted by 25% at $15/pk, offered through Textual on Saturday. If you haven’t joined, simply text BEER to 844-420-0472. There is no obligation to make a purchase.
The first 20 guests who come to the taproom on Sunday to  participate while wearing an Aloha shirt will receive a never-before-offered swag pack consisting of a tote bag, branded notebook and matching pen, and logo glassware. Five of the backpacks will also include a $10 gift card toward purchases at the taproom.

At the taproom, there will be other opportunities to help via posted QR codes linked to Maui Humane Society’s Amazon Wish List and to a GoFundMe page to help friends of OUB, a family of 20 who lost everything in the fire.
