Meet Miles: The Legend Behind the Label
At 15½ years old, Miles isn’t just a senior pup—he’s a testament to resilience, joy, and the power of second chances. Scruffy, soulful, and soft as a cloud, he’s the kind of dog who carries a lifetime of love in his eyes and a surprising amount of personality in his paws.
Miles’ story began on a farm in California’s Central Valley, where he was found weak, sick, and running out of time. But even then, he had that spark—quiet grit wrapped in gentle sweetness. With dedicated care, real compassion, and a lot of love, Miles recovered…and he’s been charming absolutely everyone ever since.
He’s got a tender heart and an emotional IQ that borders on psychic. He knows when you’re sad, when you’re stressed, when you need comfort—and he offers it willingly, softly, without ever asking for anything in return.
He’s a seasoned fly-hunter with elite precision, a tennis ball connoisseur, a laser pointer enthusiast, and a dog who believes every pill, supplement, or medicine is simply a treat in disguise (his humans are endlessly grateful for this).
Miles is, in every way, the sweetest muppet. Loyal. Joyful. Silly. Wise. A friend who makes every room warmer just by being in it.
We are endlessly lucky to celebrate him as our newest Lucky Dog.

We donated the opportunity to feature your dog on our next Lucky Dog can to the fundraising auction for Sage Compassion for Animals, a nonprofit dedicated to helping pet guardians access crucial veterinary care during times of financial hardship.
Their mission is simple and profound: keep families together by keeping beloved pets alive, healthy, and at home where they belong. At Oakland United, supporting animal welfare isn’t just something we do—it’s something we believe in deeply.
