DESCRIPTION:Now pouring on draft and available in 4-packs to-go—meet Limitless\, our classic Bavarian Hefeweizen with a bold new look and an inspiring story. \n\n\nWith aromas of banana\, clove\, lemon\, and toast\, it’s the same great beer you’ve loved for years—now reimagined as a tribute to the trailblazing women of aviation who made history right here in Oakland. From daring firsts to record-breaking flights\, Oakland has played a pivotal role in the legacy of women in aviation. This beer is a nod to history in every sip! \n\n\nLimitless honors pioneers like Amelia Earhart\, who\, in 1935\, became the first person to fly solo across the Pacific from Honolulu to Oakland. Earhart also departed from Oakland to begin both attempts at world circumnavigation. \n\n\nIt celebrates Bessie Coleman who\, in 1921\, became the first African American pilot. One of the jobs she took in the mid 1920’s was to drop advertising leaflets from her airplane over Oakland\, California for the Coast Tire and Rubber Company. \n\n\nWe raise a glass to Louise Thaden\, who claimed the women’s endurance record from Oakland Municipal Airport with a flight of 22 hours and 3 minutes. \n\n\nHere’s to Ruth Nichols\, who is the only woman to hold simultaneous world records for speed\, altitude\, and distance for a female pilot. In 1931\, she set the women’s distance record with a flight from Oakland to Louisville\, Kentucky- a total distance of 1\,977 miles. \n\n\nAnd we honor aviator and actress Lee Ya-Ching\, the first woman to get a civil flying license in China\, who trained at the Boeing School of Aeronautics right here in Oakland. \n\n\nThis one’s for the dreamers\, the risk-takers\, and the high-flyers. DESCRIPTION:Releasing Friday\, 2/21\, we are honored to share Forty-Eight Tears\, a beer with deep meaning and a powerful story. \n\n\nThis collaboration with Doug Walker\, 2024 CA Homebrew Competition Best in Show winner\, is a tribute to his dear friend\, Jeff Mee—known as “48”—who passed in 2014. A devoted husband\, father\, and grandfather\, Jeff was a quiet man with a profound impact on those around him. \n\n\n“The strongest beer I brew for the strongest man I knew.” \n\n\nDoug spent nearly a year perfecting this German Chocolate Imperial Stout\, inspired by Jeff’s favorite dessert. Brewed with cocoa nibs\, toasted coconut\, pecans\, and vanilla bean\, it delivers rich layers of chocolate\, nutty sweetness\, and smooth vanilla\, honoring Jeff’s love for German chocolate cake. \n\n\nEarly recipe versions incorporated meaningful numbers—his passing date\, his nickname\, and more—but as the beer evolved\, so did the balance\, resulting in a beer that’s as thoughtful as it is bold. \n\n\nJoin us in raising a glass to friendship\, remembrance\, and the lasting power of a great beer.

DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 8th\, we’re unveiling our inaugural Town Cats West Coast IPA (ft. Pepper)! \nWe partnered with Oakland’s own Cat Town to find a fine feline friend to grace the label of our inaugural Town Cats West Coast IPA. The winner of the grand prize at their summer fundraising auction was Pepper! As described by her loving humans\, “Pepper is living her best life! Once a scrappy street dweller\, she’s now a pampered house cat. She spends her dotage on plush cushions\, snacking on treats\, and getting ear scritches. Her favorite activities are sunbathing and purring while her adoring humans brush her. She is proof that the Cat Town formula works!  Love + Time = Magic.” \nCat Town was established to save elderly\, stressed\, sick\, and injured shelter cats facing euthanasia. In focusing on these overlooked animals\, they’ve helped reduce the euthanasia rate at Oakland Animal Services\, Oakland’s municipal shelter\, by more than 70% since 2011. Their mission is to transform the standard approach to saving shelter cats\, and reduce euthanasia nationwide. \nGenerously hopped with Galaxy\, Mosaic\, and Vista hops\, this West Coast IPA has aromas of pine and eucalyptus with resinous undertones and lemon-lime\, lemongrass\, and black pepper notes (6.5% ABV) \nAvailable in 4-packs and on draft at our taproom or online store on Friday\, November 8th!
