SEASON OF PRIDE WEST COAST IPA

Our newest West Coast IPA, utilizing a myriad of hops, is emblematic, with the individual flavors of the hops working together in beautiful harmony. Appearance: Straw gold in color with a slight haze.

Aroma: Stone fruit with some light malt breadiness.

Taste: Stone fruit turns quickly to resin and malt with a bitter but clean finish.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Mellow carbonation with a classic, lingering west coast bitterness.

ABV: 6.5%

CHILLY BIN NEW ZEALAND HOPPY LAGER

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Super tropical New Zealand Gem hops straight off the boat from New Zealand provide a bracing bitterness, finished with bready lager goodness.

Appearance: Light straw in appearance with a white frothy head that will continue to bubble throughout.

Aroma: Nice bland of NZ and Noble scents. Fresh cut grass and light fruit settle over a herbaceous backbone.

Taste: Crisp and refreshing. Subtle hop bitterness pleasantly blends into grass and a hint of mint that linger with the carbonation on the tongue.

Mouthfeel/Finish: This lager is meant to be crisp and crushable and delivers. Smooth enough for lager drinkers with just enough hop bite for IPA drinkers.

ABV: 5.2%

TART OF GLASS TART CHERRY ALE

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

White cherries and Sac Trois yeast combine flawlessly to create a mildly sweet, yet subtly tart, brew.

Appearance: Light pink with slight haze. Bright white frothy head that dissipates quickly.

Aroma: Some tartness that comes from a blend of yeast and fruit. Light cherry aroma, though by no means overpowering.

Taste: Very bright and fresh. Manages to feel tart while being more distinctly fruity. Solid cherry character blends well with the wheat backbone.

Mouthfeel/Finish: overpowering. This beer is light and effervescent on the palate.  Some acidity lingers at the finish but nothing overly sour.

ABV: 5.5%

DOUBLE VISION DOUBLE IPA

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Packing a hoppy punch, this IPA is sure to make you see double. Loaded with Chinook, Citiva, Cashmere and Comet hops, this dankalicious DIPA will have your head spinning.

Appearance: Bright orange, bright and clear.

Aroma: Classic West Coast IPA aromas of pine hit up front with subtle notes of coconut from the Cashmere and pineapple from the Citiva, followed by a mild, almost caramel sweetness.

Taste: The pine and fresh fruit notes that come through in the aroma are wonderfully apparent on the palate. This beer drinks almost like a West Coast-Hazy IPA hybrid, with the classic dankness of a WC and the smooth tropical fruits of a Hazy.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Amazingly easy drinking, despite the 8.2% ABV, with only a mild alcohol burn on the back end.

ABV: 8.8%

ALL THAT SHINE MUNICH LAGER

Produced by Assistant Brewer Ralph Long, All That Shine is an easy drinking German Lager, bready and beautiful. Pour it into a glass and watch as the golden hues catch the sun.

Appearance: Bright, clear, straw in color with a crisp, frothy, effervescent head.

Aroma: Aromas of Bavarian bread hit up front, thanks to the classic German malt profile. Herbal and fruity notes from the hops round out the aromas.

Taste: Light and drinkable with a super clean, Pilsner-like finish. This beer drinks more like a Helles than a traditional lager with sweet fruit (tangerine) characteristics due to the Mandarin hops. Biscuity and bready malt sweetness is balanced by the hop finish.

Mouthfeel/Finish:  Delicate on the palate with a nice carb mouthfeel. Smooth and easy drinking.

ABV: 5.2%

A SHOULDER TO CRYO ON WEST COAST IPA

In this collaboration with the good folks at Gilman Brewing, this classic West Coast IPA features the use of cryo hops, which provide subtle, fruity undertones.

Appearance: Light orange with a light, frothy head.

Aroma: Some malt sweetness, bright notes of pine and lemon zest.

Taste: A well-built malt base, giving breadiness and sweetness that serve to help accentuate the bitterness and make the pine and citrus really pop on the late palate.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Full mouth hop character, finishing with light lingering bitterness and a light alcohol burn.

ABV: 7.5%

IBU: 50

GOLDEN CHILD GOLDEN STOUT (NITRO)

This collaboration brew with Loma Brewing is based on years of friendship and almost a decade in the making. Loma and Oakland United started with an eloquent base and built upon it with liberal chocolate nib and vanilla additions to create a truly unique experience. Creaminess and the mouthfeel of a full nitro can round out the flavor profile.

Appearance: GOLDEN! When properly poured, a thick white creamy head cascades down the sides of the glass, eventually settling  with about 2 inches of dense nitro foam.

Aroma: Very dessert-centric without being overly sweet or cloying. Vanilla and chocolate notes waft as the nitro pour effervesces.

Taste: A luxurious blend of malt sweetness, bitter (and fruity) chocolate, and rich vanilla are melded by the creaminess of the nitrogen pour to make an exceptionally complex and enjoyable golden stout.

Mouthfeel/Finish: The nitro pulls the weight on mouthfeel, making a pillowy pallet for the flavors to be expressed. Subtle sweetness and high notes of vanilla linger.

ABV: 7.0%

HOP CANDI SESSION IPA

Hoppily rounding out our Linden Street series, this Session IPA is bright, juicy and a perfect balance of hop-forward flavor and light drinkable body.

Appearance: Light orange/straw with a fluffy white foamy head.

Aroma: Light and fresh! Really bright citrus with mild pine aftertones.

Taste: Crisp and refreshing. Subtle hop bitterness pleasantly blends with grapefruit and floral notes.

Mouthfeel/Finish: This all-day IPA is crisp and compact. The simple malt bill works to highlight the expressiveness in the hop profile

OL’ BRICK BITTER ESB

Ol’ Brick Bitter is our take on an English classic.  This easy drinking pub ale was one of our best known during the Linden Street days and was resurrected after years of lying dormant as a recipe in our books.  ESB is a style known for its unique interplay between the malt and the bitterness imparted by the hops. Smooth, dry and delicious!

Appearance: Light, pale orange/straw. Thick white foamy head.

Aroma: Light malt sweetness with a nice floral hop character and a hint of pear on the finish.

Flavor: Light body punctuated with significant malt overtones. Very classic English malt profile with West Coast hop characteristics. Prominent pear and other subtle fruit flavors finish with a light, lingering bitterness.

Mouthfeel: A lower than usual carb level, as is traditional for this English style. Very clean finish.

ABV: 4.8%

EAST BAY NIGHTS BLACK LAGER

There’s nothing quite like our East Bay Nights. One of the O.G. mainstays from our Linden Street days, this is our award-winning tribute to the classic German Schwarzbier. Don’t let the color fool you! This beer is light on the palate and packed full of flavor. Notes of coffee and bittersweet chocolate with just a touch of Noble hops round out the roasted malt profile.

Appearance: Very dark in color and while still technically a clear beer, this is about as black as it gets.  A light brown head slowly dissipates.

Aroma: Absolutely bursting with notes of roast malt and dark coffee.

Taste: The roast malt and coffee characteristics are prevalent and linger at the finish but clean, crisp lager notes combine with dark fruit to balance the experience.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Drinkers may be confused by the color but a light and effervescent mouthfeel contributes to the enjoyment of the roast characteristics.

ABV: 5.3%

DANGER ZONE WEIZENBOCK

At 9.3% ABV, this wheat version of a German-style bock is the second of our higher ABV holiday beer releases. It has a complex malty sweetness that effervesces into a much lighter and delicate notes of fruit and light caramel!

Appearance: Deep caramel body with some haze from yeast in solution. Light fluffy head.

Aroma: First perception of malt sweetness transitions into banana esters and clove phenolics from the presence of the weisen yeast.

Taste: Complex malty sweetness that effervesces into much lighter delicate notes of fruit and light caramel.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Malt-forward body, starting sweet but finishing delicate with a sultry burn. Quintessential dessert beer characteristics.

ZIG A ZIG AHHH HARD GINGER BEER

Created in collaboration with our friend and great brewer, Tommy Weaver, we used over six hundred pounds of fresh ginger to deliver a hard and unique twist on an old favorite.

Appearance: Light straw/orange in color. Surprisingly bright considering the volume of ginger we used. Head is quickly disspiating.

Aroma: Light malt sweetness, mostly overpowered by the spiciness of the ginger but also features a subtle earthiness.

Taste: Light and clean malt body serves as a vehicle to deliver a big hit of ginger upfront that lingers on the back palage with a nice subtle burn.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Light, slightly thin mouthfeel that is complemented by the effervescence and intensity of the ginger.

ABV: 6.1%

NEW OAKLAND GLOW PILSNER (VOTED BEST EAST BAY BREW 2020)

New Oakland Glow is our rebranded Pilsner, one of our original four core beers and voted as the “Best of the East Bay Brew” by Oakland Magazine readers earlier this year (thank you!). New Oakland Glow is one of our “Linden Street Series,” celebrating our roots as Linden Street Brewery, which was founded in 2009 in a warehouse on Linden Street. A crisp, biscuity light beer with subtle hopped finish.

Appearance: Pale straw color, thick frothy head the remains for most of consumption.

Aroma:  Light bready-ness with sharp floral hop aroma.

Taste: Crisp, clean, and refreshing. Some expressive noble hop bitterness finishes with a mild maltiness and floral hop aftertaste.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Light bodied, very crisp slightly acidic (due to carbonation)  mouthfeel.

Appearance: Dark and heavy with subtle ruby legs seen at an angle.

Aroma:  Almost smore sweetness blends with the roast for a light but pleasant aroma.

Taste: Big roast characteristics upfront make way to a caramel sweetness that rounds out into a full mouth umami

Mouthfeel/Finish: Big body, faux cashmere tongue coating with a sweet but not cloying after taste.

SUPER SPOOKY HAZY HOPPY (SSHH) IPA

Aroma:  Orange zest and lychee burst through with a hint of mild grassiness.

Taste: You and your tastebuds get a big upfront shock as they’re immediately hit with a big, fruity punch! As your heart rate comes back down, and you register the back palate, fresh cut grass and subtle Citra dankness helps you settle in and relax.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Definitely a thicker hazy but sufficiently carbonated to accentuate flavor and balance the robust mouthfeel.

ABV: 6.7%

WHAT’S MINE SAY? DUDE (WEST COAST IPA)

Using the same hop bill as “What’s Mine Say? Sweet,” both beers were brewed using Citra and Simcoe hops but with 2 completely different and delicious flavor profiles.

Appearance: Pale orange, slightly lighter than your OG West Coasts such as Sierra.

Aroma:  Big melon with a puff of marijuana dankness. Slight caramel sweetness as well.

Taste: Piney bitterness upfront mellows into a mostly fruit forward experience. Herbal characteristics linger at the end.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Clean and sharp. The bitterness is direct and upfront and rounds out into a full-mouth hop-forward finish.

ABV: 7%

WHAT’S MINE SAY? SWEET (HAZY IPA)

Appearance: Golden yellow, quite hazy. Good foamy head with surprising retention.

Aroma:  Big notes of tropical fruit. Our closest to a “classic” Juicy boi yet. Melon, orange, and lemon zest.

Taste: Big bright tropical fruit upfront. Much more Citra dankness and a subtle sweetness in the back palate.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Classic juicy mouthfeel. Solid head adds smooth creaminess to the robust hazy mouthfeel.

ABV: 7%

CRASH LANDING HAZY IPA

Appearance:  Pale orange in color; high protein grist and liberal hopping make for a very hazy appearance.

Aroma:  Bright and forward notes of stonefruit, with slight suggestions of green tea.

Taste: This is a juicy boi for sure. Big fruit, noticeably nectarine, crash into the front palate. A tea-like tannin rounds out and mellows the finish.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Like most hazys, pretty chewy mouthfeel.

ABV: 6.9%

WET HOP LAZER KITTEN WET-HOPPED IPA

In celebration of his birthday, Ian is releasing Wet Hop Lazer Kitten. We used a veritable mountain of fresh Michigan Cashmere hops from Hop Head Farms to deliver an in-your-face wet hopped experience.

Appearance: Pale in color from very light caramel malt; white Foamy head dissipates quickly

Aroma:  A lot of wet hop character here, light grassiness up front finishes with some tropical fruit and a hint of coconut

Taste: Like the aroma, hops sparkle and dazzle.  Pleasant grassiness without getting vegetal like some WH beers. Fruit blends well with hop character for a pleasant lingering hop sensation.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Slightly drying due to all that fresh lupulin coming atcha! Good balance.

ABV: 6%

NO SLEEP ‘TIL OAKLAND BREAKFAST PORTER

No Sleep ‘Til Oakland Breakfast Porter, our collaboration with Oakland’s Bicycle Coffee, is made with 100 pounds of their premium roast to create a smooth and silky coffee kick.

Appearance: Rich dark chocolate brown, dark frothy head that dissipates relatively quickly.

Aroma:  Heavy fresh coffee aroma combines with the malt character to express a dark chocolate earthiness.

Taste: Big chocolate and caramel notes upfront underlie the vibrant bicycle coffee earthiness that finishes with hints of fruit.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Robust, full mouth feel. Finishes with sharper coffee-like acidity.

Careless Whitsper, our Blood Orange Fruited Witbier, is our nod to big hair, padded shoulders and yes, WHAM! This wheat beer is a light and refreshing taste of nostalgia and perfect for our warm summer days and nights!

Appearance: Golden hued, somewhat cloudy due to yeast in suspension. Light frothy head.

Aroma: Big bright fruit that is yeast derived. Soft blood orange on the finish.

Taste: Crisp and bready with a slightly fruit tartness. Blood orange comes through on the back end.

Mouthfeel: Light and almost fluffy start; dissipates with a clean effervescent finish.

ABV: 5%

This old school Helles Lager is golden and bright in appearance and crisp and refreshing with a faint hint of grain, breadiness and grassiness.

Appearance: Golden and bright; light head that dissipates into a thin layer of foam and leaves nice spotty lacing.

Aroma:  Mild; a faint hint of grain and breadiness and grassiness.

Taste: Same as the aroma, but more pronounced, and more emphasis on the grassiness. A little sourdough tanginess.

Mouthfeel/Finish: Light-medium, crisp, clean, dry, refreshing.

ABV: 5.2%

ZAPATOS DE BAILE MEXICAN-STYLE LAGER

“Dancing Shoes,” made with Zappa hops, is a light Mexican lager perfect to get you jazzed about the warm summer months. A malt bill of 2 Row, Vienna and Flaked Maize create a light drinkable body that allows the subtle fruit from the Zappa hops to shine through. Get ready to strap on your Dancing Shoes and enjoy!

PROPER HOOLIGAN ENGLISH MILD

This classic English dark mild combines a subtle blend of layered caramel malts with floral British Challenger hops to create an easy drinking and smooth experience.

Aroma: Rich, bready notes with a hint of orange peel on the finish.

Flavor: A light bodied but bright maltiness that smooths into a sweet caramel and soft fruit finish.

Mouthfeel: Full for such a low alcohol beer but finishes dry.

BAVARIAN HEFEWEIZEN

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Known as the breakfast beer of Bavaria, this refreshing summer beer is made with 50% malted wheat, 50% pilsner malt, German noble hops, and a famous German yeast strain contributing notes of banana and clove.

Tasting notes: On the nose, you’ll notice banana, clove (purely a by-product of yeast fermentation). This highly sessionable beer is lightly hopped while the wheat and yeast give it a little cloudiness through the glass.

ABV: 5.2%
